The 13th annual Mr. Romance Cover Model pageant is a fan favorite that inspired the Oxygen Network to broadcast their own version last year. A dozen gorgeous men will compete in Dayton Beach for the 2006 Mr. Romance title. They will be judged on personality, romance IQ and charm. Readers will meet the handsome contestants at parties, costume balls and Club RT throughout the convention. Don't miss the experience of dancing and chatting with all the contestants so you can vote for your favorite. Readers’ Choice ballots will be available all week long in Club RT. The winners will be selected by a panel of judges and readers. The grand prize is an appearance on the cover of a Harlequin/HQN novel and be flown to New York for the “shoot.”

James Scott aka Ethan from All My Children will Emcee the Mr. Romance Competition

 

Soap opera fans, rejoice! British-born heartthrob James Scott, of the long-running ABC soap All My Children, will bring his wit, charm and expertise to the stage as host of the 2006 Mr. Romance Cover Model Pageant. We first met this tall, handsome drink of water at a fundraiser in New York, where we made him an offer he couldn’t refuse — to be trapped in Daytona Beach for five days with more than 1,000 women — and he enthusiastically accepted.

 

James was born and raised in Newcastle upon Tyne, in the northeast of England, not far from the village of Barrow, where Kathryn Falk, founder of RT BOOKclub, holds the title of Lady Barrow. Of course, the rising star has no idea what to expect at an RT Convention, but one thing is for sure,
he’ll be thoroughly entertained and have a lot of fun!
