Tips for How to Make the Most of Your First RT Experience!

Kathryn Falk, founder of RT Book Reviews magazine and the RT Booklovers Convention will be leading the RT Convention Virgins Orientation session on Wednesday, May 14 , 8:45-9:45am, along with author Lynne Connolly.

This session is very helpful for all RT Convention virgins because not only will it get you prepared for the week ahead but it will also give you the opportunity to meet other convention newbies and possibly make friends to hang out with for the duration of the event.

To get you started Kathryn and RT friend Kelli Salkin have prepared a booklet chock full of tips for maximizing your RT experience and tricks for how to stay healthy and energized throughout the week. Download the booklet here.

APP for the RT Agenda Will Be Available

Today we received a glimpse of the Agenda App that is sponsored by Dreamspinner --and it is AWESOME! I can't wait to see the finished version.

Besides being able to sort workshops by day you will be able to sort by workshop vs. events. So if it's an event you're looking for, just sort by event and you will have the listing. We are asking that it sort by category like Craft, Business, Self-Pub etc. and will find out this week if it's possible.

Latest Additions to the Book Fair

We're just about one month out and we continue to get surprises!

E.L. James signed up last month and she will be signing at the book fair and at the FAN-tastic Day. And yesterday we received confirmation that Debbie Macomber is attending. She will sign at the Book Fair for the first two hours, from 11am-1pm.

And for fans of YA Tamora Pierce is attending! She is a all-time favorite for new and old fans.

If you live within a 300 mile radius of New Orleans do plan on coming for the day on Saturday, May 17. Book Fair Only ticket is $5 and FAN-tastic Day ticket is $55 (but it includes tons of free books and giveaways).

And don't forget about Teen Day so bring the kids.

See you all soon.
